We need your help.
After years of operating Michigan Parents for Schools on an all-volunteer basis, with our founders helping with costs, the time has come to reach out to the broader community for support. The challenges facing community-governed public education have never been greater, and our work has expanded way beyond what we imagined back in 2007.
We're not interested in joining the club of well-funded lobbyists at the Capitol, or in becoming a vehicle for the well-heeled to buy their version of education policy. We do want to continue to speak for parents and others who want strong and vibrant public schools for all our children.
But what we do does take some resources. We've gotten pretty good at keeping costs low, but your support will allow us to continue with our grassroots advocacy efforts, our work in Lansing, and our work to help local groups get organized and get involved in the decisions faced by their local schools.
Please consider contributing what you can to help us continue this work. No gift is too small, and no donor is more important than another. We're all in this together!
